Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Rotational Radiographer with an Interest in Dental Imaging to join the Imaging teams across Glasgow Dental Hospital, Glasgow Royal Infirmary and other NHSGGC sites.

You will deliver dental imaging, including intra-oral imaging, OPT and iCAT, while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety. The role develops specialist imaging skills within a large teaching environment and supports students and colleagues in a dynamic service.

Qualifications

• Post-registration radiography experience and HCPC registration are required.
• Experience in dental radiography and interest in developing specialist dental imaging skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, students and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work across a 24/7 service.

Responsibilities

• Perform and justify a wide range of diagnostic imaging examinations with high patient care and image quality.
• Deliver dental imaging including intra-oral imaging, OPT and iCAT procedures.
• Assess patient needs and adapt imaging techniques for varying clinical and communication requirements.
• Support supervision, teaching and assessment of Radiography, Dental and Dental Nursing students.
• Contribute to service delivery through rotational working across acute and specialist areas.
• Maintain compliance with radiation protection regulations and quality standards.
• Provide leadership and workload coordination when required.
