Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Radiography Leader to join the Diagnostic Imaging Service as Sector Superintendent for the Clyde Sector and Royal Hospital for Children. The role provides senior strategic and operational leadership, shaping imaging delivery with focus on patient care, workforce development and service transformation.

You will work with clinical and managerial colleagues to deliver safe, high-quality imaging aligned with local and national objectives, ensuring

Qualifications

Qualified Radiographer with HCPC registration.
Masters level qualification or equivalent management training.
Proven track record in a senior management position.
DCR or BSc in Radiography with HCPC registration.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and professional leadership for radiography services.
Lead service redesign, transformation and innovation programmes.
Ensure robust clinical governance, quality assurance and risk management.
Develop workforce strategies for recruitment, retention and succession planning.
Manage delegated budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
Support delivery of national imaging recovery and modernisation programmes.
Lead multidisciplinary teams across multiple sites and service areas.
Ensure compliance with HCPC, IR(ME)R 17 and IRR regulations.
Collaborate with Clinical Directors and regional partners to improve pathways.
