More detail about the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy service at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (RDUH – Eastern services). We have vacancies on our Band 5 rotational programme and welcome applications from current registered physiotherapists and undergraduates due to qualify in the summer.

This rotational role allows applicants to develop clinical skills and reasoning across acute and community settings, with opportunities to complete a preceptorship programme where appropriate.

Specialties include acute respiratory medicine, ICU, neurology (including stroke), general medicine, surgery, T&O, health for older people, and community rehabilitation. Applicants must demonstrate effective communication, assessment skills, knowledge of hospital discharge processes, and a patient-centred physiotherapy approach.

While often working autonomously, applicants will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and senior therapists for professional development.

The RDUH is a welcoming trust that values diversity and encourages applications from all backgrounds. It is situated in one of the UK's most beautiful areas, with easy access to the coast and Dartmoor National Park.

This role requires flexible working over 7 days, including weekends, bank holidays, and on-call respiratory rota. A valid driver’s license and access to a suitable vehicle are essential.

Working hours: 8 am to 8 pm, across 7 days

Interview Date: To be confirmed

For further information, please contact: Rob Wickins, Head of Acute Physiotherapy
