Job summary

The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust is offering a rotational Band 7 pharmacist role within the Pharmacy Team. You will work with medical and nursing staff to optimise therapy and reduce adverse events across clinical areas.

You may be supported with independent prescriber training if not already a prescriber, and you will contribute to service improvement while developing your knowledge across specialist areas.

Qualifications

• Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Non-medical prescriber (or willing to undertake this when requested).
• Knowledge of issues relevant to clinical pharmacy practice.
• Ability to understand NHS applications of clinical pharmacy.
• Experience working with financial information and interpreting drug expenditure information.
• Experience or training in Quality Improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Provides a clinical pharmacy service to allocated areas, supervising rotational staff if required.
• Supports development and implementation of strategies to improve services.
• Supports training programs and educational sessions for pharmacists and healthcare professionals.
• Assists in financial reporting and drug budget management.
• Participates in dispensary, weekend, bank holiday, late and on-call rota duties.
