Job summary

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust is seeking an experienced Estates Maintenance Technician to support safe operation of hospital plant and services. The role covers electrical, mechanical, and plumbing aspects with CP responsibilities in HTM areas.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Electrical/Mechanical Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 is required.
• Experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role with core electrical or mechanical skills.
• Experience as a Competent Person (CP) in HTM/Low Voltage, Medical Gases, HVAC, etc.
• Shift technician experience in a healthcare environment is essential.
• Ability to work alone or in a team with strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Organise and prioritise day-to-day duties for safe, efficient plant operation.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, plumbing, or building services.
• Escalate faults to Estates Manager as appropriate and respond to out-of-hours calls.
• Carry out planned maintenance and reactive work across the site.
• Maintain records, logbooks and works orders for major repairs.
• Coordinate with external contractors and provide training as needed.
• Be part of a shift rota (days and nights).
