Job summary

Lamond and Murray Dexis, based in Inverkeithing, Scotland, seeks a Rotating Equipment Engineer to support the workshop operations. You will dismantle, inspect, report, assemble and test gear-driven machinery, ensuring safety, reliability and efficiency in line with quality objectives.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, working independently, and identifying improvement opportunities while handling gearboxes, pumps and related equipment in a heavy engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with rotating equipment in engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform root cause investigations.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering and asset reliability.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, inspect, report, assemble and test critical machinery.
• Work with gearboxes, pumps, motors, bearings and seals to ensure safe operation.
• Interpret drawings and technical docs and deliver reliable, high-quality work.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and best practices in the workshop.
