Job summary

Gama Aviation LLC is seeking a skilled Shift Lead Engineer for Staverton. The role focuses on leading rotary base maintenance teams, driving productivity and ensuring safe, timely aircraft maintenance delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a UK CAA Part 66 B1 or B2 licence with C rating and rotary ratings, with strong leadership, communication, and a commitment to safety and quality in a busy maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• CAA Part 66 Licence Category B1/B2 with C rating and two rotary type ratings.
• Experience in helicopter base maintenance and line maintenance.
• Experience leading engineering teams in rotary aircraft environments.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production/safety brief at shift start.
• Coordinate with scheduling and LAE to allocate tasks per plan.
• Ensure health and safety requirements and quality procedures are followed.
• Oversee shift compliance with times, attendance, and appearance.
• Report quality and safety events; close actions delegated by QA.
• Produce shift handover reports and manage aircraft delivery timescales.
• Manage hangar daily control including aircraft movements and housekeeping.
