Job summary

Gama Aviation is seeking an experienced Shift Lead Engineer for its Staverton rotary base maintenance team. You will lead engineering teams, drive productivity, manage expectations, and ensure safe, efficient aircraft maintenance delivery on a fast-paced schedule.

Ideal candidates have UK CAA Part 66 licence with rotary ratings and a track record leading teams in helicopter maintenance, with focus on safety and client service.

Qualifications

• Licensed Aircraft Engineer with rotary experience.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams in rotary maintenance.
• Strong emphasis on safety, quality and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift performance and craft daily production/safety briefs.
• Allocate tasks per production plan and adjust to dynamic needs.
• Ensure compliance with HSE and quality procedures; manage attendance and appearance.
• Report quality and safety events; drive timely close actions.
• Coordinate handovers and maintain aircraft delivery schedules.
• Oversee hangar operations, aircraft movements and customer support.
