Job summary

STS Aviation Services in Birmingham is seeking a B2 Licensed Aircraft Engineer to support a major aircraft production and modification program. You will supervise a team of avionics technicians, conduct detailed inspections and ensure all work meets regulatory standards.

The role requires a valid CAA or EASA Part-66 B2 licence, the ability to live and work in the United Kingdom, and availability for a rotating day/night shift on either contract or permanent basis.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CAA or EASA Part-66 B2 licence
• Experience supervising avionics technicians in an aircraft environment
• Experience in aircraft modification projects
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics and regulatory documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of avionics technicians
• Conduct detailed inspections in accordance with relevant specifications
• Ensure avionics work meets quality, safety and regulatory standards
• Interpret technical manuals, schematics and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate avionics maintenance and modification tasks
• Support the execution of aircraft production and modification programs
• Provide progress updates to the Line Manager
• Identify and report technical or scheduling issues
• Mentor junior avionics personnel
• Promote safety, quality and accountability
