Job summary

Gama Aviation East Midlands is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Manager to lead the day-to-day maintenance operations for the GAEL hangar, ensuring UK CAA 145 and BCAR compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, a Part 66 licence with Group 3 rating, and experience managing 145 environments. You will oversee budgeting, planning, and customer-facing coordination to maximise aircraft availability.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of UK CAA 145 and BCAR regulations.
• Proven management experience in a Part 145 environment.
• UK CAA Part 66 Licence with Group 3 Type Rating required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day management of Base and Line maintenance operations.
• Coordinate with CAMO and GAEL teams to plan workload and resources.
• Ensure compliance with Part 145/BCAR and manage quality audits.
• Oversee budgeting, forecast performance and cost control.
• Maintain aircraft availability and scheduling to meet customer commitments.
• Promote safety, H&S, and housekeeping across the hangar and offices.
