Job summary

Network Rail is seeking a Rostering Administrator to compile, maintain and publish accurate rosters using the Corporate Rostering Tool, ensuring full compliance with rostering principles and policies. The role will prepare daily and weekly rosters, coordinate cover for sickness, annual leave, training, medicals and interviews, and validate roster data with local managers.

• Experience prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience analysing data and producing reports
• Understanding of pay arrangements for rostered staff

Responsibilities

• Compile and publish agreed rosters using the corporate rostering tool in accordance with Maintenance Rostering Principles, company policies and standards.
• Prepare rosters for weekly rostered duties, covering sickness, annual leave, training, briefing and special arrangements, liaising with line managers to crosscheck data.
• Manage short notice roster alterations, liaising with affected employees and line managers, and resolving queries.
• Make roster arrangements for medical examinations and interviews.
• Make roster arrangements for safety-critical competencies, expiries and training plans.
• Monitor competency data to ensure base roster shifts remain covered; liaise with the Competency Delivery Specialist.
• Gather and analyse fatigue data and highlight issues to the line manager; provide data to support reporting requirements.
