Job summary

Network Rail is hiring a Rostering Officer in the Eastern England region. You will compile and publish rosters, coordinate cover for leave and training, and ensure safety competencies are embedded in schedules.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of national rostering principles.
• Experience prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience analysing data and producing reports.
• Understanding of rostering conditions of service.
• Knowledge of roster systems and data handling.
• Ability to manage data accurately with attention to detail.
• Experience working in a team and with virtual teams.

Responsibilities

• Compile, maintain and publish accurate employee rosters using the Corporate Rostering Tool.
• Coordinate cover for sickness, annual leave, training, medicals, interviews and other arrangements.
• Validate roster data with local managers and implement short-notice changes.
• Oversee leave records and support annual leave planning.
• Ensure safety-critical competencies and training are included in rosters.
• Provide data to support reporting and aid safe, compliant delivery.
