Job summary

PYVITAL is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in the roofing sector across the UK. The role is field-based with responsibility for developing new business with contractors, distributors, and specification partners, while strengthening key relationships and driving market share.

You will balance technical sales with relationship management and proactive business development, traveling within the UK to meet clients and deliver value.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction materials sales, ideally roofing or building envelope systems.
• Knowledge of EPDM flat roofing membranes or similar roofing technologies.
• Experience with contractors, installers, and distribution networks.
• Ability to understand construction drawings and project specifications.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Commercially minded with a proactive, results-driven approach.
• Willingness to travel regularly for field-based role.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities with roofing contractors, main contractors, architects, and distribution partners.
• Promote and sell roofing systems and associated product solutions.
• Develop and implement a structured territory sales plan to achieve revenue and growth targets.
• Track and manage project pipelines from early specification through to order placement.
• Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with contractors, installers, and distribution partners.
• Provide both commercial and technical support to customers across your territory.
• Conduct regular client visits, site meetings, and project discussions.
• Engage with architects, consultants, and specifiers to secure product specification on projects.
• Deliver CPD presentations, product demonstrations, and technical guidance.
• Support contractors with installation best practice and system recommendations.
