Job summary

WPS is seeking an experienced Roofer to join our Responsive Maintenance team working on a social housing contract in the Barnsley area. You will carry out day-to-day roofing repairs across occupied social housing properties, delivering a high-quality service with a strong emphasis on safety and customer care.

Key duties include responsive roofing repairs, inspections, fault diagnosis and remedial works, while adhering to Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roofer in social housing or responsive maintenance.
• NVQ Level 2 in Roofing is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive roofing repairs and maintenance across social housing properties.
• Undertake roof inspections, fault diagnosis and remedial works.
• Work in line with Health & Safety, safeguarding and company procedures.
• Communicate effectively with schedulers, supervisors and residents.
• Complete job records and materials used via a handheld/PDA system.
• Work collaboratively with other trades when required.
• Deliver a professional, customer-focused service in occupied homes.
