Job summary
WPS, a specialist in social housing responsive maintenance, is seeking an experienced Roofer to join our Responsive Maintenance team in the Barnsley area.
You’ll carry out day-to-day roofing repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing properties, delivering a high-quality service with safety and customer care at the forefront.
A Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required at offer stage; applicants with criminal records will be assessed individually.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Roofer, ideally within social housing or responsive maintenance.
- NVQ Level 2 in Roofing (or equivalent) – essential
- Full UK driving licence – essential
- Experience working in occupied properties
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- Reliable, professional and customer focused
Responsibilities
- Carry out responsive roofing repairs and maintenance across social housing properties
- Undertake roof inspections, fault diagnosis and remedial works
- Work in line with Health & Safety, safeguarding and company procedures
- Communicate effectively with schedulers, supervisors and residents
- Complete job records and materials used via a handheld/PDA system
- Work collaboratively with other trades when required
- Deliver a professional, customer-focused service in occupied homes
