Job summary

Mears Group is seeking a skilled Roofer for our Birmingham contract. You will deliver repairs and maintenance across social housing properties, working within the Property Services team to keep homes safe, weatherproof and compliant with health and safety standards.

You will repair tiles, gutters, fascia boards and leadwork, respond to emergencies, and record work accurately. The role requires strong workmanship, clear communication with tenants, and a valid UK driving license.

Qualifications

• Experience in roofing repairs across occupied and void properties.
• Ability to install/repair tiles, felt roofing, battens, gutters and leadwork.
• UK driving license required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out roofing repairs and maintenance across Birmingham properties.
• Repair and replace roof tiles, battens, felt roofing, flat roofs, chimneys and leadwork.
• Install and repair guttering, downpipes, fascias, soffits and roof ventilation systems.
• Respond to emergency roofing issues and document work done and materials used.
