Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is recruiting a qualified Roofer to join our site team around Salisbury and the Warminster area. You will work on social housing tenanted properties, handling roof tile work, fascia/soffit and flat roof refelting as part of an integrated repairs contract.

The role emphasises safety, efficiency and customer service. A full UK driving licence, site-based training and ongoing development are part of the package, with a supportive planning team coordinating workload to

Qualifications

• Roofing experience on domestic properties with knowledge of tile, fascia/soffit, and rainwater goods repairs
• Full UK Driving Licence required; DBS check will be conducted
• Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training; refresher available
• Knowledge of BS 5534 and BS 8000 standards

Responsibilities

• Roofer responsible for domestic roofing and repairs including: tile replacements, fascia/soffit and rainwater goods repairs
• Previous experience working in a live environment would be beneficial
• Working from job tickets or handheld device daily
• Collaborate with other trades and site teams while managing own time effectively

• Maintain up-to-date systems for job records and scheduling

Location: Site based around Salisbury/Warminster and approximately a 60 minute radius - typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours
As a Roofer for Novus Property Solutions, you’ll work with a great team, who support each other and work together to deliver a great service for our customers. Ideally possessing a background and qualification in Roofing, working within Social Housing tenanted properties on traditional roofs, and shared accommodation complexes.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• Roofer with experience of working on all aspects of domestic roofing and related repairs including: Roof tile replacements, fascia/soffit and rain water goods repairs/replacements, chimney and valley repairs and flat roof refelting
• Previous experience working in a live environment would be beneficial
• Breathable system compliant with current fixings meeting British standard specifications and competent roofer beneficial but not essential
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device daily
• Working in co-operation with other trades/occupations as well as the site or contract team, whilst managing own time effectively
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• Manage Systems to ensure they are up to date and accurate
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Knowledge of current roofing standards, including BS 5534 and BS 8000
• Knowledge and qualifications in; NVQ Level 3 Roofing Occupations or Competent Roofer Scheme experience preferred
• Manufacturer-approved roofing system training (e.g., Bauder, IKO, Sika, Marley, Redland).
• PASMA, IPAF and Solar PV experience are all advantageous
• Full UK Driving Licence is required
• This role will require a DBS check
