Job summary

Novus Property Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Roofer to work on domestic roofing projects in the Greater Manchester area. You will handle tile work, fascia/soffit repairs, and related tasks within social housing properties, supported by a planning team to optimize workload and travel time.

Ideal candidates have UK roofing qualifications (NVQ3 or equivalent) and driving licence, with familiarity in BS standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Roofer with experience in domestic roofing and repairs.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.
• PASMA, IPAF and Solar PV experience are advantageous.
• Knowledge of BS 5534 and BS 8000 standards.
• NVQ Level 3 Roofing Occupations or Competent Roofer Scheme experience preferred.
• DBS check will be required.
• Live site environment experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Roofer responsibilities on domestic roofing, tiles, fascia/soffit, and related repairs.
• Work from job tickets daily and coordinate with site team.
• Follow Novus’ Health and Safety policies and standards and ensure quality workmanship.
• Maintain accurate records and support smooth job scheduling.

Job description

Location: Site based around Greater Manchester- typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours

As a Roofer for Novus Property Solutions, you’ll work with a great team, who support each other and work together to deliver a great service for our customers. Ideally possessing a background and qualification in Roofing, working within Social Housing tenanted properties on traditional roofs, and shared accommodation complexes.

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Rooferwith experience of working on all aspects of domestic roofing and related repairs including: Roof tile replacements, fascia/soffit and rain water goods repairs/replacements, chimney and valley repairs and flat roof refelting
• Previous experience working in a live environment would be beneficial
• Breathable system compliant with current fixings meeting British standard specifications and competent roofer beneficial but not essential
• Working from job tickets or a handheld devicedaily
• Working in co-operation with other trades/occupations as well as the site or contract team, whilst managing own time effectively
  
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• Manage Systems to ensure they are up to date and accurate
  
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
  
• Knowledge of current roofing standards, including BS 5534 and BS 8000
• Knowledge and qualifications in; NVQ Level 3 Roofing Occupations or Competent Roofer Scheme experience preferred
• Manufacturer-approved roofing system training (e.g., Bauder, IKO, Sika, Marley, Redland).
• PASMA, IPAF and Solar PV experience are all advantageous
• Full UK Driving Licence is required
• This role will require a DBS check
