Fortem Solutions is recruiting a Roofer Multi to join our Stonewater Housing contract on a full-time, permanent basis. Based in our Repairs & Maintenance team, you will primarily fix roofing issues while also being capable in at least one other trade.

A company van and fuel card are provided. You will carry out reactive maintenance on a variety of roof types, operate with supervision when needed, and maintain health and safety compliance on every job.

Competenze

• Core trade is Roofing with basic skills in another trade
• Must be able to work solo without supervision
• Must be able to use a tablet to receive jobs and create notes
• Good knowledge of H&S and working at height
• Certificate or NVQ in Roofing, or equivalent QBE
• Full UK driving licence (max 5 points)

Mansioni

• Carry out reactive maintenance, fixing and renewing various roof types (residential and communal)
• Repair and renew guttering and carry out scaffold inspections
• Ensure high standards with minimal supervision and communicate follow-on works to Supervisor/Line Managers

Here at Fortem Solutions we’re currently recruiting for a Roofer Multi to join our Stonewater Housing contract on a full time, permanent basis.This role would be working in our Repairs & Maintenance team, working closely with local tenants to primarily fix Roofing issues, however we would want you to be capable with at least one other Trade. We have a team of Planners in our head office who take calls from tenants and then plan your day out, making sure the houses you attend are in your patch and you have all the information you need before you get there. We’re looking for a Multi Trade, so although we’d expect your primary skill to be in Roofing, we would need you to have basic skills in one or more of Carpentry, Plumbing, Plastering, Tiling, Groundwork, Painting & Decorating or Electrics and be able to undertake jobs without supervision. This would primarily be solo work, however you will be given a company van and fuel card and you’ll have Supervisors on hand should you need any help

The Client

Stonewater Housing is one of our long-term Social Housing contracts. We look after over 7,500 properties in 4 different areas of the South-West, from Taunton and Yeovil, over to Bristol and Swindon and down to Salisbury and Bournemouth. We deliver Repairs & Maintenance, Voids, Capital Works and an Electrical Service program to their Social Housing across the South West region.We are currently rated as 4.5 on Glassdoor and 93% of staff would recommend to a friend!

Duties & Responsibilities

• You’ll carry out predominantly reactive maintenance, repairing and renewing sections on a wide variety of different roof types, (residential and communal), i.e. slate tile repairs, flat roof / torch on repairs & general roof maintenance.
• You will repair and renew guttering, work on scaffolds and carry out scaffold inspections.
• You will ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with the minimum of supervision, carry out fault diagnosis and communicating additional works required back to your Supervisor/Line Managers to ensure all follow-on works have been captured, leaving the resident assured.
• You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs whilst remaining within budget and time parameters.
• You will operate within company Health and Safety guidelines and remain up to date with technical and legal requirements of your skill areas.

Essential and Desirable Criteria

Essential Criteria

• Core Trade being Roofing, but have at least basic skills in at least one other Trade
• Must be able to work solo, without supervision
• Must be able to use a tablet to receive jobs and create notes
• Good knowledge of H&S and working at height
• Certificate or NVQ in Roofing, or equivalent QBE
• Full UK driving licence (max 5 points)

Desirable:

• Past experience in a Responsive Repairs role
• Past experience working within social housing
• PASMA trained and experience of carrying out scaffold inspections (training will be provided if you do not have this)
