Job summary

WPS is looking for an experienced Roofer to join our Responsive Maintenance team, working on a social housing contract in the Barnsley area. You’ll carry out day‑to‑day roofing repairs and maintenance across occupied social housing properties, delivering a high‑quality service while maintaining safety and customer care.

The role requires NVQ Level 2 in Roofing, a valid UK driving licence, and proven experience in occupied properties; DBS disclosure will be required at offer stage.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roofer, ideally within social housing or responsive maintenance.
• NVQ Level 2 in Roofing (or equivalent) – essential.
• Full UK driving licence – essential.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Reliable, professional and customer focused.
