Job summary

WPS is seeking an experienced Roofer to join our Responsive Maintenance team on a social housing contract in the Barnsley area. You will carry out day-to-day roofing repairs and maintenance across occupied properties, delivering a high-quality service with a strong focus on safety and customer care.

The role involves roof inspections, fault diagnosis, and remedial works, working with schedulers and residents, and completing job records using a handheld system.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Roofer, ideally within social housing or responsive maintenance.
• NVQ Level 2 in Roofing (or equivalent) – essential.
• Full UK driving licence – essential.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
• Reliable, professional and customer focused.
