Arriva TrainCare in Crewe is seeking a Rolling Stock Maintenance Fitter to join the Light Maintenance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will maintain and modify customer rolling stock, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will work under the Delap/Mods Team Leader, performing fault diagnosis, repairs and adherence to VMIs, with a focus on safe operations and continuous improvement within a supportive engineering environment.

Qualificações

• BTEC Certificate or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (Rail Traction & Rolling Stock) required.
• Previous experience in rail vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to safe and efficient working practices.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out maintenance and modification work on customer rolling stock.
• Work to Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMIs) and deadlines.
• Diagnose faults and perform corrective actions.
• Follow safety procedures and complete documentation.
• Maintain housekeeping and use PPE; support continuous improvement.
• Contribute to reliability targets through high-quality workmanship.
