Job summary

Arriva TrainCare in Crewe is seeking an experienced electrical technician to perform electrical maintenance, fault finding and testing on rail vehicles, reporting to the Team Leader, and ensuring fleet reliability and safety. This permanent, Monday–Friday role requires a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering and hands-on knowledge of schematics and safe isolation.

You will work at Crewe depot with adherence to safety, quality and environmental procedures, and support overall rolling

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding on rail or similar environments.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and safe isolation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance and fault rectification on rolling stock within set timescales to recognised standards.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults using drawings and diagnostic tools.
• Carry out electrical inspections, testing and commissioning to return vehicles to service safely.
• Maintain depot safety, quality and environmental procedures and work instructions.
