Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is sourcing an Electrical Test Technician for a Derby, UK assignment. You will perform fault finding and diagnostics on train systems to ensure vehicles leave the site fully tested with no defects.

The role offers mornings and afternoons shifts, 37 hours per week, for 12 months+ with an ASAP start. Applicants must hold a formal electrical qualification and demonstrate experience reading schematics.

Qualifications

• Formal electrical engineering qualification (apprenticeship/degree/HNC/HND) and 16th/17th edition.
• Ability to read schematics and follow written instructions.
• Proven fault-finding and diagnostics skills in an industrial setting.
• Experience with TPWS/AWS/PIS systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fault find and diagnose train systems including TPWS, AWS, PIS.
• Test traction, braking, doors, radios, CCTV, HVAC, and DOO systems.
• Ensure trains leave site fully tested with no defects.
• Work in small teams and independently as required.
