Job summary

Rullion Managed Services in the UK Derby region is seeking a Lead Technician to join a busy maintenance depot in Derby for a 6 month contract with possible extension. The role focuses on leading fault finding, servicing, repair, and reliability improvements on modern rolling stock.

You will work 4 on / 4 off days and nights with overtime available, using SAP and other systems to maintain records, and you must pass safety and eligibility checks to work in the UK. IR35 Inside.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
• Experience working in maintenance, overhaul, modification or production environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience using maintenance management systems.
• Experience of working a 24/7 shift roster
• Excellent safety awareness within a regulated engineering environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on rolling stock assets.
• Support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Identify and rectify electrical defects.
• Produce technical scopes of work and support reliability improvements.
• Provide technical support during service failures and depot operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using SAP and other maintenance systems.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
