Job summary

Rullion Limited is seeking a Lead Technician for a busy depot in Derby to lead servicing, fault finding, repair and reliability improvements on modern rolling stock. This 6‑month contract offers strong earning potential for an experienced electrician stepping into a lead role.

You will lead complex fault finding, coordinate maintenance, and ensure safety and quality standards. SAP usage and willingness to cover 24/7 shifts are advantageous for this challenging role.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent qualification) required.
• Experience in maintenance, overhaul, modification or production environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience using maintenance management systems (e.g., SAP).
• Willingness to work a 4 on / 4 off, 24/7 shift roster.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex fault finding, diagnostics, and repairs on rolling stock assets.
• Support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Identify and rectify electrical defects.
• Produce technical scopes of work and support reliability improvements.
• Provide technical support during service failures and depot operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using SAP and other maintenance systems.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
