Job summary

Rocksteady Music School Limited in Oxfordshire is hiring a Rock and Pop Music Teacher (Band Leader). You will teach groups of primary-age children in a fun rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week, covering drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals.

No teaching experience is required; we provide full training, support and development. You will work independently within a remote team, travel between schools with equipment, and help children perform at end-of-term concerts.

Qualifications

• No prior teaching experience required; full training, support and development provided.
• Ability to lead bands and engage primary school children in music.
• UK/EU driving licence and own transport to travel between schools.

Responsibilities

• Teach groups of primary-age children in a rock and pop band format in up to 10 schools per week.
• Teach drums, guitar, bass, keyboard and vocals to children for their first instrument lessons.
• Work independently within a remote team of band leaders with central support.
• Inspire children to perform live at end-of-term concerts and develop wellbeing through music.
• Represent Rocksteady and build strong relationships with schools, teachers and parents.
• Load, transport and set up band equipment at each location and drive between schools.
