Humanoid in the United Kingdom seeks a Robotics Test Engineer to own software release validation, policy evaluations, and end-to-end metrics collection for our humanoid platform. You’ll work with the Test Team, executing tests on real robots and comparing simulation to reality, building a data pipeline to certify software readiness for ship.

You’ll run tests in Gazebo and NVIDIA Isaac Sim, contribute to CI/CD, and help shape how we measure performance across releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software test engineering or test automation, ideally with robotics or physical-systems exposure.
• Strong Python scripting skills and ability to read C++.
• Working knowledge of ROS2, topics/services, and interacting with a running robot.
• Comfortable with Linux (Ubuntu) and shell scripting.
• Detail-oriented mindset with curiosity for edge cases that break builds.

Responsabilités

• Execute end-to-end test pipelines for new software releases and ensure quality gates before fleet deployment.
• Run automated and manual regression suites; triage failures and route to owners.
• Contribute tests to CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) to catch regressions post-merge.
• Design and run policy evaluations for learned behaviors, with reproducible results.
• Run simulations (Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim) alongside physical robot tests.
• Track sim-to-real differences and feed findings back to policy teams.
• Maintain end-to-end metrics dashboards and data hygiene for long-term trends.
