Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking a Skilled Roadworker to join a squad responsible for a broad range of road maintenance and construction tasks, using vehicles, tools, plant and materials to complete works safely and efficiently.

You will work with other service areas and external organisations to ensure timely completion, require experience in roadworks or civil engineering, knowledge of health and safety, and readiness for standby/call-out duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in roadworks, civil engineering or construction.
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation.
• Willing to commit to standby/call-out rota.

Responsibilities

• Operate and coordinate tasks using vehicles, tools, plant and materials for road works.
• Liaise with other service areas and external organisations to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
• Work as part of a squad involved in all aspects of road maintenance and construction.
