Job summary

Renfrewshire Council in Scotland is inviting applications for a Technician (Traffic Signals) to join the Traffic and Transportation Team. You will assist with routine and reactive maintenance of traffic signals across the Renfrewshire road network and support the upgrade and renewal programme.

Qualifications

• Must have an HNC or equivalent in a relevant subject or demonstrable experience.
• Proven track record of overseeing transportation projects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience of health and safety management including CDM Regulations 2015.
• Experience supervising contractors including performance appraisal.
• Excellent communication and computing skills.
• Desirable: driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine and reactive maintenance of traffic signals on the road network within Renfrewshire.
• Assist with design and maintenance of traffic signal control systems.
• Oversee contractor performance and ensure health and safety (CDM Regulations 2015).
• Work independently and as part of a team and meet defined timescales.
