Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a proactive Roadside Mechanic to diagnose faults and perform repairs on roadside calls across the Esher cluster and surrounding areas. You’ll be responsible for your own van, diagnostic kit, and reporting, while delivering first-class member service.

Qualified applicants include those with an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) plus 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’ hands-on vehicle technician experience and a full UK driving licence with <6 points. Expect varied shifts and a competitive package with progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience
• or
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs and maintenance
• Manage your RAC van, stock levels, and diagnostic kit
• Provide clear, accurate reports and support to members on callouts

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent)
