Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside and deliver rapid breakdown support for members across the UK. You’ll start and finish from home, with a dedicated RAC van, fuel card, and full toolkit supplied.

Requirements include a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience, plus a full UK driving licence. Scotland opportunities exist, with a realistic OTE and comprehensive benefits.

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent), with at least 2 years' post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
• A customer-focused approach
• A full UK driving licence

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and end your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside
• RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit provided
