Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert breakdown assistance and diagnostics across the UK. You’ll start and finish from home, operating in local clusters with dedicated support and a provided RAC van and tools to ensure rapid responses.

The role requires an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years as a Technician, plus a full UK licence with under 6 points. Competitive base pay and an attractive OTE accompany a long‑standing, trusted brand.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and end your day at home while delivering fast, confident solutions for RAC members.
• Use provided RAC van, fuel card, tools and diagnostic kit to get the job done.
