Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a Roadside Technician for a national breakdown company. The role is field-based with a strong focus on flexibility, long shifts, and high earning potential through overtime and bonuses.

Location shown as Chigwell, UK, with a permanent, full-time contract and comprehensive benefits. The role requires a Level 2 (or ideally Level 3) qualification in light vehicle maintenance, at least two years of hands-on post-qualification experience, and a valid UK driving

Qualifications

• Requires Level 2 or Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification.
• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification hands-on vehicle experience.
• Full UK driving licence with max 6 points, no bans.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical roadside repairs (battery changes, wheel changes, minor engine fixes).
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn't possible to maintain mobility.
• Advise members on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely in varied environments and conditions.
