Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Roadside Technician – Superflex role to provide roadside assistance for a national breakdown company. Location: Bournemouth. The basic salary is £50,669 with OTE in excess of £60,000 and potential to earn 70–80k+.

The role is 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule, overtime opportunities, pension contributions up to 6.5%, life insurance, and career progression options. A car salary sacrifice scheme is available after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Must have Level 2 or ideally Level 3 light vehicle maintenance and repair qualification.
• Must have a minimum 2-year post-qualification hands-on experience with vehicles.
• Must have a full UK driving licence with max 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Attend roadside breakdowns and assess vehicle faults quickly and accurately.
• Carry out mechanical and electrical repairs at the roadside, including battery replacements and tyre changes.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and determine repair options.
• Provide temporary solutions when full repair isn’t possible to maintain member mobility.
• Advise members clearly on next steps, including recovery if needed.
• Work safely and efficiently in varied environments and conditions.
