Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division across the UK. You will deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support, with shifts averaging around 40 hours per week and a base salary of £36,400 plus an OTE of £60,000+.

You’ll start and end your day at home with a RAC van, fuel card and full uniform provided. Candidates should have an NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience, or 5+ years’

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience OR 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance when members need it most.
