Job summary

Join RAC as a Roadside Technician. You’ll deliver expert roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, using your Level 2 qualification or equivalent and 2+ years’ experience.

You’ll start and end your day at home, with a RAC van, fuel card, and tools provided to tackle diverse call-outs. We offer a market-competitive base salary (£36,400) with an realistic OTE (£60,000+), and a structured development pathway in Patrol.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics across the UK
• Deliver emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions
• Handle calls for flat batteries, tyre changes and fault finding
• Start and end each day from home and operate with RAC van and tools
