Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician. You’ll deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll start and finish your day at home, supported by RAC vans, fuel cards, full uniform, tools, and diagnostic kit.

With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll work in local clusters to get members back on the road, enjoying a strong base pay with generous overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Start and end each day at home, with a RAC van and toolkit provided

Education

NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance

5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

Full UK driving licence (less than 6 points)
