Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and help keep the UK moving. You’ll start and finish your day from home, covering your local area while delivering roadside repairs and diagnostics with a market-competitive base salary and realistic OTE.

We provide a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and diagnostic kit. A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points is required; NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 5+ years’ experience are accepted qualifications.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support.
• Perform diagnostics and fault-finding for roadside repairs.
• Start and finish days at home and cover a local UK area.
• Provide quick, confident solutions to members in roadside situations.
