Job summary

Join RAC as a Roadside Technician and help keep the UK moving. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and 2+ years’ experience, you’ll work flexible shifts averaging 40 hours per week, starting and finishing at your home driveway.

You’ll receive a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of around £60,000. You'll be deployed in the Cheltenham cluster, covering local areas, with RAC-provided van, fuel card, uniform, tools and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• Or 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• As a Roadside Technician, deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• You’ll start and finish at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside with your tools and diagnostic kit.
• You’ll be part of the Patrol division, supporting members to get back on the road quickly.
