Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join its Patrol division. You will perform mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, helping members get back on the road fast. You start and finish at home, with shifts designed around demand and a typical 40-hour week.

You’ll be equipped with a RAC van, fuel card, full uniform, essential tools, and a diagnostic kit, supporting you in delivering top-notch service nationwide.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience.
• 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Help members get back on the road quickly and confidently.
