Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join our Patrol division. You will deliver expert roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK, diagnosing faults and providing quick, confident solutions for RAC members.

You’ll start and end your day at home, covering local areas with your RAC van, fuel card, and diagnostic kit provided. The role offers a strong base pay with attractive on‑target earnings and a clear path to progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and provide quick, confident solutions for RAC members.
• Travel to varied locations, starting and finishing at home.
• Use provided tools, diagnostic kit, and RAC van to complete each job.
