Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician in the UK. Starting and finishing at home, you’ll cover a local cluster, performing diagnostics and on‑scene repairs to get members back on the road quickly. Expect 40-hour weeks with demand-led shifts and optional overtime.

We require Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience or 5+ years in the trade, plus a full UK driving licence with few points. RAC provides a van, tools, and full uniform from day one.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK
• Offer quick, confident solutions and reassurance to members
