Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Patrol division. You will deliver mechanical roadside repairs, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK while starting and finishing your day from home and servicing RAC members with confidence and care.

Candidates should have NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years of experience and 5+ years as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, plus a full UK driving licence with under 6 points.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years’ experience.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic and a full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Deliver quick, confident solutions and reassurance to RAC members at the roadside.
• Start and finish your day at home, tackling challenges head-on while serving customers.
