Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to diagnose faults, perform mechanical roadside repairs, and provide emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll use the latest diagnostic technology and deliver confidence to members while working independently in varied environments.

The role includes a structured development pathway, potential overtime, and opportunities to advance with IMI accreditation as you build a long-term career with RAC.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience
• 5+ years’ experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics across the UK
• Provide emergency breakdown support and quick, confident solutions to members
• Diagnose faults and help members continue their journeys safely using diagnostic technology
• Work independently to resolve issues and support member mobility
