Job summary

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and help keep people moving across the UK. This role offers a base salary of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000, plus overtime and bonus opportunities.

Shifts are demand-led, averaging 40 hours per week, with an option for overtime and a structured development pathway. You'll perform diagnostic work, roadside repairs and emergency breakdown support, combining technical skill with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years experience.
• 5+ years experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support nationwide.
• Diagnose faults, solve problems and help members continue their journeys safely.
• Work independently with modern diagnostic tools and provide trusted customer service.

Full UK driving licence

Education
