Job summary

RAC seeks a Roadside Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles at the roadside across the UK, delivering fast, confident repairs and reassuring support to members when they need us most. You’ll work on demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week with optional overtime, and benefit from a structured development programme with hands-on learning and IMI accreditation.

The role offers a strong base pay of £36,400 with a realistic OTE of £61,000; top performers earn significantly more through

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) with 2+ years' experience or 5+ years' experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert roadside repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults independently and help members continue their journeys safely.
