Job summary

RAC is hiring a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You’ll diagnose faults, perform repairs, and help members continue their journeys safely with dependable, customer‑centered service.

The role offers a development pathway with IMI accreditation opportunities and a structured training program to grow technical skills and diagnostic capabilities.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and perform roadside repairs.
• Provide quick, confident solutions to get members back on the road.
• Use diagnostic technology to identify faults and support customers.
