Job summary

RAC is seeking a Roadside Technician to join the Walsall cluster, covering Walsall, Cannock and surrounding areas. With a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and 2+ years of roadside experience, you’ll diagnose faults and perform on-the-spot repairs to get members moving again.

You’ll start and finish your day at home, working ~40 hours per week with demand-led shifts and optional overtime, supported by your RAC van, fuel card, full uniform and diagnostic kit.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent).
• 2+ years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Start and finish at home, tackling challenges head-on and making a real impact on the roadside.
