Job summary

RAC Motoring Services is seeking a Roadside Technician to deliver expert mechanical roadside repair, diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. You will diagnose faults, provide quick solutions, and assist members to continue their journeys safely with the latest diagnostic tools and technology.

We offer a structured development programme, driver licence requirements, and opportunities for accreditation through IMI.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance or 2+ years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Mechanic.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points.

Responsibilities

• Perform expert mechanical roadside repair and diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Diagnose faults and deliver quick, confident solutions.
• Use advanced diagnostic technology to identify faults and restore mobility.
• Work independently with strong customer service to reassure members.
